SEND Teacher – Lower KS2 (Temp to Perm) Location: Durham Daily Rate: £153.85 – £211.97 (dependent on experience) Start Date: ASAP Contract Type: Temp to Perm The Role: We are working in partnership with a specialist SEND school in Durham who are seeking a dedicated SEND Teacher to join their team. This role is to teach a Lower KS2 class of 6 pupils with Autism and complex needs, supported by 3 experienced Teaching Assistants. This is a temp to perm position, starting as soon as possible, offering an exciting opportunity to secure a long-term role in a supportive SEND setting. Working Hours: * Monday & Wednesday: 8:30 – 17:00 * Tuesday: 8:30 – 16:30 * Thursday & Friday: 8:30 – 16:00 Key Responsibilities: * Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the needs of pupils with Autism and complex needs * Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment * Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and other professionals to provide individualised support * Track progress and adapt teaching strategies to ensure each pupil reaches their potential Candidate Requirements: * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent * Previous experience working with children with Autism and complex needs * Strong classroom and behaviour management skills * Commitment to inclusive education and child-centred learning What’s On Offer: * Daily rate of £153.85 – £211.97 * Opportunity to move into a permanent role * Supportive and specialist SEND school environment * Professional development opportunities If you are an experienced SEND Teacher looking for your next role in Durham, apply now to be considered for an immediate start
