About the School: This is a nurturing and caring SEND primary school located in the Irlam area of Manchester. The school caters for children aged between 3 and 11 years, providing tailored support for pupils with learning difficulties and complex additional needs, including autism, physical, and sensory impairments. The school has a warm and inclusive atmosphere where each child is valued and supported to reach their full potential. Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate PMLD Teacher to join our team on a long-term basis, working 2 days per week. This role is perfect for a qualified teacher with experience in supporting children with PMLD who still has a passion for teaching complex needs in a rewarding and supportive environment. Key Responsibilities: * Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons for children with PMLD. * Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals to support the children’s individual needs. * Adapt teaching methods and resources to ensure all children can access the curriculum and thrive in a safe and positive learning environment. * Foster a nurturing, respectful, and inclusive classroom culture. * Regularly monitor and track the progress of each pupil, implementing appropriate interventions where necessary. * Promote the well-being, independence, and social development of all students. The Ideal Candidate: * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification. * Experience in teaching or supporting children with severe learning difficulties and PMLD. * A compassionate, patient, and resilient individual who can tailor their approach to meet the unique needs of each student. * Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. * A genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of children with complex needs.
