About the Role
SEND Inclusion Support is supporting our partner school in recruiting a PSHE Teacher to deliver high-quality Personal, Social, Health, and Economic education in an inclusive environment. While the original brief is for a lead position, applications from teachers with relevant PSHE experience are welcome. This role is initially temporary with the potential to become permanent, supporting the school’s ongoing teaching and inclusion needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging PSHE lessons tailored to students’ needs.
- Support students’ personal, social, and emotional development.
- Adapt resources and teaching strategies for inclusive learning.
- Maintain accurate student records and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with school staff to promote a positive, inclusive environment.
Person Specification
Essential:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching PSHE at secondary level or relevant key stages.
- Knowledge of SEND strategies and inclusive education.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexible and adaptable to meet diverse learning needs.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
Desirable:
- Experience in a PSHE lead or coordination role.
Working Pattern
4 days per week (specific days to be confirmed). Temporary-to-permanent contract depending on performance.
