About Us

At SEND Inclusion Support, we’re on a mission to give every child the nurturing, inclusive, and inspiring start they deserve. We work with young learners who face barriers to education—whether SEND, SEMH, or Emotional-Based School Avoidance (EBSA)—and we help them rediscover joy in learning, build confidence, and feel safe, understood, and valued.

We’re looking for an exceptional Early Years/KS1 Nurture Teacher—someone warm, creative, adaptable, and genuinely passionate about transforming children’s lives.

The Role

This is not your typical teaching role. As an EYFS/KS1 Nurture Teacher, you’ll create magical, personalised learning experiences for our youngest learners—using play, curiosity, and creativity to build early literacy, numeracy, communication, and social-emotional skills.

You’ll work in calm, supportive environments such as libraries, community spaces, or the child’s home, giving children the chance to learn in spaces where they feel secure and ready to engage. With full flexibility during the school day, you choose the hours that work for you while making a genuine impact on every child you support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver inspiring, play-rich learning sessions tailored to Early Years and KS1 development.
  • Build essential early skills—phonics, reading, writing, number sense, communication, and self-regulation.
  • Adapt sessions creatively to match each child’s interests, confidence, and developmental stage.
  • Provide nurturing emotional support for children with SEND, SEMH, and EBSA.
  • Teach in a range of supportive environments—library corners, cosy community spaces, or family homes.
  • Create a warm, safe, and encouraging atmosphere where little learners can flourish.
  • Work closely with parents, carers, schools, and external agencies to ensure holistic progress.
  • Track development carefully and tailor approaches to ensure steady, meaningful growth.
  • Champion positive behaviour, self-esteem, and resilience.

What We’re Looking For

  • QTS with experience in Early Years and/or Key Stage One.
  • A deep understanding of child development, early learning, and play-based approaches.
  • Experience with SEND, SEMH, or EBSA (highly advantageous).
  • A nurturing, patient, creative teaching style.
  • Brilliant communication and rapport-building skills.
  • Flexibility, initiative, and a passion for personalised learning.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and supporting young children’s emotional well-being.

Why You’ll Love Working With Us

  • Choose your own hours within the school day—ultimate flexibility.
  • Teach in meaningful, intimate learning environments where true progress happens.
  • A genuinely supportive team with an open-door policy at our Wigan office.
  • 24/7 on-call support whenever you need guidance.
  • Access to high-quality resources designed specifically for EYFS and KS1.
  • Ongoing CPD and training to keep your practice fresh and impactful.
  • The chance to make a deeply rewarding difference at the very start of a child’s educational journey.

If you’re passionate about nurturing young minds, breaking down barriers, and giving children the brightest possible start in life, we’d absolutely love to hear from you.

SEND Inclusion Support is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All staff are expected to share this commitment. All appointments are subject to an enhanced DBS check.
