Inspire, Support and Transform Young Lives

SEND Inclusion Support is working in partnership with one of our specialist SEMH schools in Milton Keynes to recruit a dedicated Primary Model Teacher to join their team immediately. This position is available immediately and will initially run for the remainder of the Summer Term. There may be an opportunity to return in September, with the potential for the role to become permanent for the right candidate.

This rewarding role involves supporting Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 pupils through a primary model approach, helping young people who may have experienced challenges within mainstream education to re-engage with learning and achieve success. The school is committed to providing a safe, nurturing and therapeutic learning environment where every young person is supported to reach their full potential.

The Role

  • Deliver and support learning across a range of curriculum subjects using a primary model approach.
  • Teach and support KS3 and KS4 pupils with varying abilities and needs.
  • Develop strong, positive relationships with pupils to encourage engagement and achievement.
  • Adapt learning activities to meet individual learning needs.
  • Work closely with pastoral, therapeutic and teaching teams.
  • Support pupils' social, emotional and academic development.
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing throughout the school day.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent is desirable.
  • Experience within primary education, SEND, alternative provision or SEMH settings.
  • Strong understanding of differentiated learning approaches.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Resilient, patient and committed to improving outcomes for young people.
  • Passionate about inclusive education and supporting vulnerable learners.
