This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and resilient teacher to join a setting that makes a real difference to young people’s lives. The school provides a nurturing, supportive, and inclusive environment for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, who may have experienced barriers to learning in mainstream education. As part of this team, you will play a vital role in helping students develop both academically and personally, giving them the tools they need to succeed. Responsibilities * Deliver engaging and differentiated Mathematics lessons tailored to SEMH learners. * Create a safe, supportive classroom where students are encouraged to build resilience and a positive attitude towards learning. * Monitor, track and assess progress, providing clear and constructive feedback. * Collaborate closely with teaching assistants, pastoral staff, and wider colleagues to provide holistic support. * Contribute to enrichment and extracurricular activities that develop confidence and life skills. Requirements * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). * Strong subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching Mathematics. * Experience of working with young people with SEMH, SEND, or additional needs (desirable, but full training and support are available). * A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach, with excellent communication skills.
