Pay: £170.00-£250.00 per day Job description: Job Title: English Teacher (SEMH) – Temp to Perm Contract Start Date: ASAP Location: Chipping Norton Daily Rate: £170 – £250 per day This small independent special school is seeking a qualified and experienced English Teacher with expertise in Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) to join our dedicated team on a temp-to-perm basis. The selected candidate will work with a small class who are accustomed to a full timetable of national curriculum-focused work. Responsibilities: * Deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons tailored to students with SEMH. * Foster literacy skills, creativity, and confidence in both written and spoken English. * Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, supporting social and emotional development. * Collaborate with the existing staff team to maintain a nurturing and structured learning environment. * Apply effective behaviour management strategies to support consistent progress. * Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to contribute to the overall success of the school. Requirements: * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a background in teaching English. * Experience working with children with SEMH needs, ideally within a specialist or alternative provision. * Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with staff, parents, and external agencies. * Flexible, resilient, and able to adapt teaching approaches to individual learners. * Commitment to fostering both academic achievement and emotional well-being. Working Hours: 8:30 am – 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
