About the Role: We are seeking a passionate and creative Art & Design Teacher to join a specialist SEND school in Newark. You will deliver engaging and inclusive art lessons to pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them explore creativity, self-expression, and practical skills in a safe and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver differentiated Art & Design lessons suitable for pupils with SEND.
- Support students to develop creativity, confidence, and practical skills.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and the SENCo to support pupils’ learning.
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting lessons to meet individual needs.
- Promote a positive and inclusive classroom culture.
Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) preferred.
- Experience teaching Art & Design, ideally in a SEND or special school setting.
- Strong communication, patience, and flexibility.
- Ability to adapt lessons to individual learning needs.
- Passion for inclusive education and creative teaching.
