About the Role: We are seeking a passionate and creative Art & Design Teacher to join a specialist SEND school in Newark. You will deliver engaging and inclusive art lessons to pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them explore creativity, self-expression, and practical skills in a safe and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver differentiated Art & Design lessons suitable for pupils with SEND.
  • Support students to develop creativity, confidence, and practical skills.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and the SENCo to support pupils’ learning.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting lessons to meet individual needs.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive classroom culture.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) preferred.
  • Experience teaching Art & Design, ideally in a SEND or special school setting.
  • Strong communication, patience, and flexibility.
  • Ability to adapt lessons to individual learning needs.
  • Passion for inclusive education and creative teaching.
