You will lead learning for pupils working within a

pre-formal or semi-formal curriculum , with a strong focus on communication, engagement, development and independence. We are looking for a teacher who has a strong understanding of specialist SEN practice and is confident working with pupils who may communicate, learn and engage in very different ways. You may have experience within: PMLD or SLD settings

Specialist autism provision

Complex needs schools

Pre-formal or semi-formal curriculum

AAC and alternative communication

Sensory-based learning

Intensive interaction

Complex physical or medical needs

Most importantly, you will understand that

and that successful teaching starts with understanding how each individual pupil communicates, learns and experiences the world. Why join this role?

This is an opportunity to join a developing specialist provision where you can have a genuine influence on practice and help shape an environment around the needs of the pupils. If you are an experienced SEN Teacher who enjoys creative, highly individualised teaching and wants to work with pupils with complex needs, we'd love to hear from you.
