Experienced Teaching Assistant – SEND Support Location: Wigan & St Helens Hours: Full-time and part-time opportunities Start Date: ASAP We are looking for experienced Teaching Assistants to support children and young people across schools in Wigan and St Helens . We are particularly interested in candidates with experience supporting SEND, SEMH, autism, ADHD, behavioural needs or additional learning needs . The role may involve: 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs Small-group interventions Supporting emotional regulation and behaviour Helping pupils access learning and build confidence Working closely with teachers and SENCOs Providing consistent pastoral and nurture-based support We would like to hear from candidates with previous experience as a TA, LSA, HLTA, SEN support worker or similar , although transferable experience from care, youth work, mentoring or mental-health support will also be considered. Relevant education, SEND, childcare or mental-health qualifications are desirable, and an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service would be beneficial.
