SENCare Recruitment are currently working on behalf of a college, that is seeking experienced teaching assistants to support young adults who have autism, mild and profound needs and SEMH.
Start: ASAP
Duration: 5 days a week - ongoing.
Hours: 8.30am - 4.30pm
The ideal teaching assistant will have:
- At least 6 months experience supporting students with autism, social emotional mental health difficulties, some profound needs.
- Experience supporting students aged 16-25.
- Able to follow students' ECHPs.
- Experience with ASD, PMLD, SEMH, trauma, sensory processing, and social communication.
- A teaching background.
- The ability to build strong and meaningful relationships with vulnerable students.
- A clear DBS registered to the update service - child and adult checked.
About us: SENCare Recruitment provides Special Educational Needs (SEN) professionals for SEN schools, mainstream schools, residential care homes and 1-1 home support through local authorities, across the UK. We can offer short/long term placements on a temporary and permanent basis for specialist SEN teachers, teaching assistants, support workers, social workers, VI/HI practitioners and mid-day meal supervisors.
