A special primary school in Canning Town, East London is seeking experienced teaching assistants to support children who have autism, mild and profound needs, and social emotional mental health (SEMH) difficulties.
Start: ASAP
Duration: 5 days a week - ongoing
Hours: 8.30am - 4.30pm
Ideal Teaching Assistant will have:
- At least 6 months experience supporting students with autism, SEMH, and some profound needs
- Experience supporting students aged 4 - 11
- The ability to provide personal care
- The ability to follow students' ECHPs
- Experience with ASD, PMLD, SEMH, trauma, sensory processing, and social communication
- A teaching background
- The ability to build strong and meaningful relationships with vulnerable students
- A clear DBS registered to the update service - child and adult checked
About us: SENCare Recruitment provides Special Educational Needs (SEN) professionals for SEN schools, mainstream schools, residential care homes, and 1-1 home support through local authorities across the UK.
