SENCare Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Key Stage 2 Teacher to work for a Specialist day school which is based in Harlow.
The school caters for children aged 7 to 14 with social, emotional and mental health as their primary identified need.
The ideal candidate will:
- Deliver tailored lessons in line with the nurture curriculum, adapting teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of students.
- Develop and implement personalised learning plans, with a strong focus on emotional wellbeing and academic progress.
- Work closely with the pastoral team, SENCo, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to each pupil’s education and care.
- Create a supportive, calm, and structured environment where pupils feel safe, valued, and able to express themselves.
Main duties:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience working with students with SEMH needs, preferably within a nurture setting or similar.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students overcome barriers to learning.
