A special primary school in Canning Town, East London is seeking experienced teaching assistants to support children who have autism, mild and profound needs, and social emotional mental health (SEMH) difficulties.
Start: ASAP
Duration: 5 days a week - ongoing
Hours: 8.30am - 4.30pm
The ideal teaching assistant will have:
- At least 6 months experience supporting students with autism and SEMH difficulties
- Experience supporting students aged 4 - 11
- Ability to provide personal care
- Capability to follow students' ECHPs
- Experience with ASD, PMLD, SEMH, trauma, sensory processing, and social communication
- A teaching background
- The ability to build strong and meaningful relationships with vulnerable students
- A clear DBS registered to the update service - child and adult checked
