SENCare Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Nursery Practitioner to work for a Nursery based in Hayes.

About us: SENCare Recruitment is a niche recruitment agency that provides Special Educational Needs (SEN) professionals for SEN schools, mainstream schools, residential care homes and 1-1 home support through local authorities, across the UK. We offer short/long term placements on a temporary and permanent basis for specialist SEN teachers, teaching assistants, support workers, social workers, VI/HI practitioners and mid-day meal supervisors.

Start: 12th November 2025

Hours: 8:00am- 4:00pm - Mon Fri

Main duties:

  • Act as a key person for a small group of children, building positive relationships and monitoring their progress towards developmental targets.
  • Capability to lift children and equipment.
  • Ability to create engaging and stimulating learning environments and activities.
  • Familiarity with relevant legislation, such as the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework in the UK.
  • In-depth knowledge of children's emotional, physical, and intellectual needs.
  • Staying calm in stressful situations and understanding that children develop at different rates.
  • Being open to change and responsive to children's interests and needs.
  • To determine the need for, prepare and maintain general and specialist equipment and resources.

We are looking for potential candidates that have:

  • Experience with children that have a diagnosis of Autism or complex social and communication needs (CSCN).
  • At least 6 months working with children between the ages of 2-4 years old.
  • A clear DBS registered to the update service.
  • Availability Monday-Friday - 5 days a week.
  • Ability to work between 8am-4pm.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • A calm and caring nature.
  • Good organizational skills.
