Grinding Operative
Based Blackburn, Lancashire

We are currently looking to recruit a Grinding Operative to join our team working from our Engineering site in Blackburn which manufactures various metal-based products. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining various grinding equipment as part of the manufacturing process to ensure finished products meet quality expectations.
The Role
- Use appropriate tools and machines for grinding,blending, debarring and finishing exposed welds to desired shape and dimensions.
- Ensuring grinding meets quality expectations.
- Promoting quality,volume and safety standards are achieved.
- This role may also involve methods such as centre‑less polishing where full training will be given.
- Daily TPM checks to ensure all equipment is safe to use. Reporting any faults to supervisor.
- Any other duties as required.
The Person
- Previous experience as a Grinder desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
- Experience working within a manufacturing environment(Essential)
- Must be used to a physical role.
- Ability to work on own initiative and achieve daily production targets.
- High levels of accuracy to produce quality work first time.
Working Hours:
7am4pm Monday to Thursday/7am-12.45pm Friday.
