Salary: Up to Β£33,000.00 pa, (dependant on experience & qualifications)
40 hours per week β Monday β Friday, 33 Days holiday per annum (includes bank holidays)
The SENAD Group provide specialist education, care and community support for the most complex, vulnerable and hard to place young people and adults. Our services work with people with autism, mild to severe learning difficulties, mental health and challenging behaviour. We operate schools, care homes and community support packages predominantly across the East and West Midlands area and North Wales.
The Role
- As the Skilled Tradesperson you will carry out a wide range of general building duties across the Group's property portfolio.
- To work as part of a small buildings team carrying out refurbishments and upgrades across a range of property types.
- To carry out any other works as required under the remit of a Skilled Tradesperson role to include (but not exhaustive): Decoration, Plastering, Tiling, Joinery Work and General Building work as required.
- To carry out work to a high standard, following best practice and legal requirements.
- To work with patience and care around children and service users, putting their safety and interests to the fore.
- Have full driving licence and a willingness to work across any of the SENAD Properties in Derbyshire, Staffordshire, Northamptonshire, Herefordshire and North Wales.
- Patient and caring.
- Previous time served or relevant qualification in a trade such as Carpentry, Joinery, Plastering etc.
- General all-round DIY / building skills with the ability to carry out internal building upgrades.
- Currently have or be willing to work towards IOSH Managing Safely.
- Proven examples of carrying out work to a high standard.
