About Orchard End
Orchard End is a community based residential home for six adults and is situated in an acre of gardens in the Herefordshire Hamlet of Auberrow, conveniently placed between the market town of Leominster and the Cathedral City of Hereford. We pride ourselves on giving the best possible care and life experience for our young adults. We go on various trips out; we go swimming, to cafes; do arts and crafts, cookery, music, gardening and much more.
Role Overview
As a Lead Care Practitioner you will manage a small team of Support Workers ensuring each shift runs smoothly and effectively. You will be responsible for conducting and properly recording regular supervisions for all team members in accordance with current guidelines.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of one year’s previous experience of working with adults with severe learning difficulties and who can present challenging behaviours.
- Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and sleep‑in duties.
- A natural respect for the dignity and individuality of each resident and an ability to promote these values within your team of staff.
- A valid current driving licence.
- Previous experience of managing a small team of staff and delegating workload.
- Previous experience of good supervision and supervision training.
- Level 3 Diploma in Care or equivalent.
