Hours: 37.5 hours, Pension, assistance programme, sponsored qualifications, training and development plan

Salary: up to Β£33,891pa plus weekend bonus & on-call

Aran Hall School is located just outside of the village of Rhydymain. Due to the rural location of the school, you will need your own transport to get to the school.

Aran Hall School, set in the stunning Snowdonia National Park, provides care and education for around 15 young people aged 11 – 19 with Autism, learning disabilities and associated challenging behaviours.

We are seeking a new House Manager in order to expand our care delivery and to continue to develop the provision to its full potential. This senior care role offers a fantastic opportunity where you will lead a small care team and be supported by an experienced and committed whole school team. You will have autonomy and the flexibility to share and implement new creative ideas for activities and to make the most of the exceptional surroundings. We work closely together and place great value on sharing good practice and supporting one another.

The successful candidate will ensure an outstanding level of care and support for up to 4 young people. You will also be a champion for children’s rights and be able to hear their voice to ensure their needs are continually met and they are safeguarded and supported in all they do.

You should have at least 2 years proven experience of working with complex young people, such as those with a Learning Disability, Autism or mental health and in supporting staff to do so. You should also have experience of leading a team alongside a relevant Level 3 (or equivalent) Qualification and have or be willing to study for a relevant Level 5 qualification such as Preparing for Leadership & Management in Health and Social Care.
