Our Team

Fancy a career at the sharp end of how the world actually connects? Join an ambitious and collaborative engineering team at the cutting edge of global data communications. Based in Bristol, we work closely with a world-renowned design group to develop advanced semiconductor solutions that power the digital infrastructure of tomorrow. Our culture is open, inclusive, and driven by innovation — and as a graduate joining us, you won't be making the coffee. You'll be in the lab, hands-on, from week one.

Job Summary

Ready to turn your degree into a career that actually matters? As a Graduate High-Speed Validation Engineer, you'll be trained up to test and validate next-generation semiconductor devices that are shaping the future of global connectivity — the chips inside the networks that move the world's data. No two days will look the same: one week you might be in new product design meetings helping shape how a device gets tested, the next you'll be in the lab taking real measurements on components running at 10Gbit/s and beyond. You’ll learn from experienced engineers who genuinely want to see you grow, get hands‑on with industry-leading test equipment, and pick up skills — from Python/LabVIEW automation to high‑speed signal integrity — that will set you up for a serious engineering career. This is your launchpad. Bring the curiosity and work ethic; we’ll bring the mentorship, the kit, and the opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Support new product design meetings and help develop test approaches for evaluating new products
  • Assist in building validation solutions for new products — covering software, hardware, and documentation
  • Help identify the right bench‑top test equipment for validating new products
  • Learn to build test automation software using Python or LabVIEW
  • Work closely with designers, product, test, and applications engineers as part of a genuinely collaborative team
  • Take part in validation review meetings and contribute your findings
  • Help create clear, accurate validation reports
  • Get hands‑on testing high‑speed optical components, ICs, and modules
  • Take high‑speed lab measurements on products operating at data rates of 10Gbit/s and above
  • Build your knowledge of high‑speed signal integrity, including exposure to schematic entry/layout using Altium PCB tools

Minimum Qualifications

  • BSc/MSc in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (EE/ECE) or a closely related discipline
  • 0–2 years' relevant experience — this role is designed for recent graduates ready to build their career in high‑speed validation
  • A genuine curiosity for electronics, test, and measurement, and a willingness to learn fast
  • Able to stay focused and positive in a fast‑paced, dynamic R&D environment
  • A natural team player who enjoys sharing knowledge and asking questions
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong self‑motivation — comfortable picking up new tools and techniques independently
  • An analytical mindset, attention to detail, and a creative approach to problem‑solving
