Under the direction of Security Department supervisors and managers, the incumbent provides security coverage ensuring adequate protection for patrons and team members, safeguards the assets of the organization and those of guests, and promotes an outgoing, friendly, guest-oriented demeanor at all times.
Responsibilities
- Maintain security throughout the entire property.
- Ensure the safety of patrons and employees during assigned shifts.
- Safeguard company assets during shift times.
- Prepare detailed incident reports in a clear and precise manner.
- Demonstrate actions and behaviors that reinforce the company's Mission and Values of Communication, Integrity, Fun, Respect, Accountability, Passion and Dedication.
- Enforce policies and procedures related to Internal Controls and Gaming Regulations during assigned shifts.
- Assist in the event of an emergency.
- Assist patrons with inquiries and situations, providing information about the property and events, giving directions, and escorting them if necessary.
- Operate tools and equipment such as radios, computers, and other position-specific devices.
- Stand for extended periods of time.
- Communicate courteously, effectively, and professionally with guests and all levels of team members.
- Work within company-established policies and guidelines.
- Perform work regularly and adhere to Virginia Lottery Regulations.
- Be available to work different types of events with varying schedules and days as needed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required, with a minimum of one (1) year of guest service experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- One (1) year of security-related experience preferred.
- Must obtain and maintain all required licenses and certifications per Federal, State, and Virginia Lottery regulations.
- Must successfully pass a background check.
- Must successfully pass a drug screening.
- Prior experience in the gaming industry strongly preferred.
- Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
- Must obtain CPR/AED certification and complete Blood Borne Pathogen training.
- Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and flexible shifts.
Knowledge
- Knowledge of computer applications to compose clear, concise, and accurate reports.
