As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in helping to support vulnerable children in a residential setting, ensuring they receive the care, guidance, and support they need to thrive., * Provide direct support to young people in a residential unit, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and structured environment.

Assist the allocated Social Worker in the delivery of care plans, supporting the young person’s needs and development.

Escort and transport young people to appointments, activities, and other locations as required.

Conduct inductions for new service users, ensuring they are introduced to the service and provided with all relevant information.

Assess and monitor the ongoing needs of service users, providing regular updates to the team.

Support young people with their welfare, including assisting with NHS matters and liaising with health professionals as needed.

Prepare and maintain accurate reports, ensuring documentation is up-to-date and in line with company policies.

Arrange and attend appointments with various partner agencies to ensure the continued wellbeing of service users.

Inform service users of available support groups and assist them with accessing appropriate services.

Assist in the move-on process for service users when appropriate, ensuring smooth transitions.

Record, maintain, and update electronic records in respect of service users, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.

Prepare for and attend meetings, representing the company in a professional manner.

Provide mediation for service users when required, helping to resolve issues and conflicts.

Effectively use IT systems and packages to support the work of the organisation.

Work collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams to ensure the best outcomes for young people.

Uphold confidentiality and data protection regulations at all times.

Contribute to the development of company policies and procedures.

Report any housing or facility issues to the relevant department and assist in resolving defects.

Participate in on-call duties, as required, to ensure continuous support.

Assist with office reception duties when needed.

Provide 1:1 support for individual service users or work with small groups of up to three young people, ensuring the highest level of care during shift work, including sleep-in shifts.
