The following is essential criteria:

  • Degree in Social Work
  • SWE Registration
  • Right to work within the UK

An Approved Mental Health Practitioner (AMHP) is required for our Emergency Duty Team. Ideally, candidates will also have child protection experience because this is a generic team.

We expect to be able to offer a shift allowance. The role is in our EDT team. The team works various shift patterns, for example:

  • 4:45pm overnight to 9am (weekdays)
  • 9am – 7pm (weekend days and bank holidays)

The post holder will normally work 148 hours over 4 weeks. The post holder will need to be able to be office based (no working from home due to the nature of the role) and must drive around County Durham to visit service users.

You must have:

  • A professional qualification in social work
  • Social Work England registration
  • Post qualified experience
  • Enhanced DBS/Update service
  • References required for the last 5 years of employment
