Wellburn Care Homes is recruiting a Care Assistant for day duty at their residential care home in Wigginton, North Yorkshire (YO32).
Paying £12.71–£16.13 per hour, this is an ongoing role starting 12 July 2026.
Responsibilities
- Assist with dressing, washing, bathing and personal hygiene.
- Support mobility and use of disability aids.
- Apply practical interventions for dementia or behavioural needs.
- Assist residents at mealtimes.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Monitor and report changes in residents’ health or physical condition.
- Read and contribute to care plans.
- Help organise and participate in social activities and community visits.
Qualifications
- Flexible across rostered shifts including weekends, and occasional night cover.
- Physically fit, patient, caring, and committed to the rights of elderly and disabled people to live with dignity.
- Experience in a care home or residential setting is preferred.
