South Tyneside Council is seeking a dedicated Senior Social Worker to join the Connected Carers Team on a locum basis, based at the Town Hall, South Shields (NE33 2RL), starting 20 July 2026.

The role involves supporting a duty rota for emergency viabilities and Regulation 24 placements, managing a caseload of viability and kinship assessments, and providing ongoing support to Kinship Carers. Assessments may go to the Fostering Panel or court as required.
