Manchester City Council is seeking an experienced Interim Registered Manager to lead a Short Breaks Service supporting adults with learning disabilities at Hall Lane Resource Centre, Manchester (M23 1WD). This is a day-rate contract (£425/day) running from 2 June to 1 September 2026. This is a critical CQC-regulated leadership role focused on delivering safe, high-quality, person-centred care for adults with complex needs. You will take full registered-manager accountability, ensuring compliance with CQC Fundamental Standards, leading safeguarding and risk management, and driving positive outcomes for service users.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee care planning, record keeping, and performance monitoring.
- Manage and develop staff teams.
- Work collaboratively with families, professionals, and partner agencies.
- Manage service delivery within budget.
- On-call participation may be required.
Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience as a Registered Manager (or equivalent senior leader) in adult social care.
- Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and inspection frameworks.
- Experience supporting people with learning disabilities and complex needs.
- Experience in service improvement, stabilisation, or turnaround.
- Enhanced DBS required.
- Ability to start at short notice is an advantage.
