Lincolnshire County Council is recruiting a Personal Adviser (Leaving Care Worker) based in Lincoln (North Hykeham, LN6) on an interim basis, paying £27.33–£35.77 per hour via Prism, starting 20 July 2026. Leaving Care is a statutory service supporting Care Experienced Young People aged 16–25. The team uses the Signs of Safety model and the Valuing Care tool to develop aspirational Pathway Plans covering accommodation, health and wellbeing, education, employment and training, financial stability, and life skills.

Responsibilities

  • Building strong, trusting relationships with young people and their networks;
  • Coordinating multi-agency support and leading on planning;
  • Delivering targeted interventions and practical support;
  • Acting as Lead Professional where appropriate;
  • Participating in a duty rota for crisis support;
  • Carrying out statutory face-to-face visits both locally and nationally.

Qualifications

  • Ideally hold an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent and have demonstrable experience supporting young people aged 16–25.
  • A solid understanding of safeguarding, risk management, and child development is essential.
  • Ability to work flexibly including occasional evenings.
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle are required, along with availability for national travel.
