Manchester City Council is seeking a Family Contact Worker based at Harpurhey District Office, North Manchester, for a temporary assignment running from 14 September to 13 November 2026. This role sits within the Family Contact Service, supporting looked-after children and their families through supervised family time. Key responsibilities include supervising court-directed contact sessions, completing detailed observations of family time, providing parenting guidance and advice during visits, and transporting children to and from contact arrangements. Candidates must hold a current driving licence and have business use insurance on their vehicle, as driving is an integral part of the role. The role is based within a social work team in North Manchester.
