Southwark Council is seeking a Senior UiPath AI Automation Lead for a contract engagement based predominantly remotely, with one day per month required at 160 Tooley Street, London SE1 (plus additional days as needed). The rate is £287.13–£400.00 per day, with a start date of 13 July 2026. This is a technical leadership role combining intelligent automation delivery, live service ownership, and hands‑on development. You will lead a team of automation developers, drive AI‑enabled automation strategy, and oversee production support of intelligent automation services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and deploy solutions using UiPath Studio, AI Center, Document Understanding, Communications Mining, and Agentic Automation.
  • Manage automation execution through UiPath Orchestrator.
  • Own live AI‑driven automations in production.
  • Work with business stakeholders to identify efficiency opportunities.

Essential Skills

  • Strong hands‑on UiPath Studio and Orchestrator experience.
  • Proficiency in REFramework, VB.NET and/or C#, API integration, and SQL.
  • Proven track record supporting live RPA solutions.
  • Experience leading or mentoring developers.

Preferred Skills

  • UiPath Certified RPA Developer (Associate or Advanced).
  • Experience with Communications Mining, AI Center, Document Understanding, Data Service.
  • Exposure to Git or Azure DevOps.
