This is a permanent position based in Leyland, near Preston, in a well-established children's home. The role is full-time and permanent. A DBS on the update service would be a massive advantage. Rates from £12.75 to £15 an hour and £60 sleep depending on experience. Great flexibility with shifts and the rota’s. Shifts are typically 8am to 8pm or 8pm to 8am.
Job Purpose
To be responsible for the provision of Support for Vulnerable People (Service Users) for the Company.
Qualifications / Requirements
- High standard of general education.
- NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People or Health & Social Care (CCYP) or equivalent.
- Experience supporting young people in a residential setting.
- Willingness to undertake further training.
- Current full driving licence with business insurance preferable.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist the Young person’s allocated Social Worker in the delivery of the service.
- Provide transport/escort to the young person as directed in line with care plans.
- Conduct welcome and induction for Young people.
- Ongoing assessments of Service Users’ needs.
- Provide ongoing support and monitoring of Service Users.
- Assist in welfare and NHS issues.
- Preparation of reports.
- Arrange appointments with various partner agencies.
- Maintain regular contact with young people.
- Inform customers of support groups.
- Assist Move‑On of Service Users.
- Some shifts may also be 24 hours (sleepovers). Great flexibility and 2–3 days a week would be full‑time hours.
