We are recruiting Residential Practitioners for a children’s residential home in Middleton, Leeds (LS10 3NN), on behalf of Leeds City Council. This is a shift‑based, temporary assignment running from 1 June 2026, expected to last 2‑4 months, at a rate of £14.82 per hour.
The home currently supports three children who present with challenging behaviour but are generally well settled. The service is looking for resilient, experienced practitioners who can build positive, trauma‑informed relationships with young people and slot into an established rota.
Key Details- Shift pattern includes lates (10:30am–10:30pm), day shifts (9am–4/5pm), and sleep‑ins (10pm–7/11am).
- Sleep‑in workers should be prepared to remain awake based on the environment.
- The client will conduct informal face‑to‑face interviews followed by shadow shifts before allocating a full rota.
- Aiming to induct approximately three workers.
Ideal candidates will have direct experience in children’s residential care, training in trauma‑informed practice, and a relevant Level 3 qualification (residential childcare, youth work, or child development). Male and female applicants are welcome.
