Job Overview
A locum Occupational Therapist is required at the Recovery Hub South Leeds (LS11) for Leeds City Council, running from 10 August to 13 September 2026 at £19.81 per hour. Based within the Recovery Hubs, you will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of Physiotherapists, Nurses, and Support Workers to promote independence, rehabilitation, and safe discharge home for adults across health and social care. The role sits within a rehabilitation-focused service operating a 24‑hour therapeutic approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform strengths‑based occupational therapy assessments.
- Develop and implement goal‑led rehabilitation and outcome plans.
- Lead discharge planning for individuals returning home.
- Undertake moving and handling assessments.
- Maintain accurate records to statutory standards.
- Support adults to maximise independence and return safely to their own homes, adapting intervention plans as needs evolve.
Qualifications and Experience
- Holds a recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy.
- Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Experience in community rehabilitation or adult social care services is essential.
- Strong clinical reasoning, discharge planning, and multidisciplinary working skills.
