Barnet Council is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapy Practitioner to cover a one-year maternity leave for the Lead Practitioner role within the West Locality Occupational Therapy Team, based in Colindale, NW9. This long-term complex team focuses primarily on major adaptations via the Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) pathway, alongside the assessment and provision of complex equipment, including manual handling solutions, with a focus on supporting service users to remain safe and independent at home.
Key responsibilities include:
- Day-to-day team leadership
- Supervision of up to three staff
- Delivery of complex Care Act assessments
- Ensuring professional standards and best practice are maintained across the team
Applicants must be HCPC-registered Occupational Therapists with strong experience in:
- Complex assessments
- Relevant legislation (Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, DFG)
- Supervision
- Manual handling
