Job Title: Family Support Worker (Part-Time)

Please be aware this is a Long Term Temporary post to start ASAP.

An exciting opportunity has arisen: We are currently recruiting for a part-time (18.5 hrs per week) Family Support Worker to join our safeguarding team in Bolton Council.

As part of this role, you will work alongside Safeguarding Social Workers to deliver high-quality interventions with children and families to support positive outcomes.

The role includes (but is not limited to):

  1. Supporting family time activities
  2. Assisting with home visits
  3. Direct work with children
  4. Working with families on behaviour management strategies, routines, and boundaries
  5. Budgeting support and referring families to available support services

This work involves working with families subject to Child in Need, Child Protection, and court proceedings.

The candidate should be prepared to work part of the week in the office and be able to travel to Bolton at short notice to meet service needs.
