An exciting interim opportunity for an experienced Commissioning Officer to lead key projects across Older People, Carers, and Sensory Needs portfolios at the Royal Borough of Kingston. This hybrid role focuses primarily on transforming unpaid carer support, driving improvements in carer breaks and respite, crisis planning, and early identification, while also leading on establishing an updated sensory needs support model in Kingston. You will manage contract performance across services supporting older adults, ensuring quality, compliance, value for money, and positive outcomes, and support Senior Commissioning Leads on cross-cutting transformation and integrated health and social care pathways. Duties include leading pilot projects to expand flexible carer breaks, delivering milestones within the Carers Contract Development Plan, engaging unpaid carers, experts-by-experience, voluntary sector partners and health leads, and supporting end-to-end recommissioning cycles including co-production, specification writing, procurement support and mobilisation. Candidates should have proven experience as a Commissioning Officer or Contract Manager within adult social care or an NHS Integrated Care System, specialist knowledge of Carers Services, Older People or Sensory Impairment, strong project management skills, and excellent stakeholder management abilities. This is a 3-6 month interim contract offering a varied and impactful role within adult social care commissioning.
