Working Hours: Full-time – 37 hours per week

Overview: We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Social Worker to join a busy team based in Bolton. This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week, with free on-site parking available at the Castle Hill office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a varied caseload of service users across the Bolton area
  • Undertake duty responsibilities on a rota basis
  • Carry out home visits as required to assess and support families and individuals
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and external agencies to deliver high-quality, person-centred support
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with statutory and local guidelines
  • Contribute to multi-agency planning and reviews, attending relevant meetings as necessary
  • Ensure compliance with all safeguarding procedures and legislative frameworks

Travel: Caseload will require travel across the borough of Bolton

Parking: Free on-site parking provided at the office

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration
  • Proven experience in a similar statutory setting (children’s or adult services depending on the role)
  • Ability to manage a complex caseload and make sound decisions under pressure
  • Confident in undertaking home visits and engaging with families in a respectful and professional manner
  • Must have access to own transport or be able to travel efficiently across Bolton
