Birmingham Children’s Trust is seeking a Youth Justice Worker to join their Youth Justice Service based in Aston, Birmingham (B6 4DU). This is a temporary role paying £18.78–£24.34 per hour via Prism, starting 29 June 2026. You will deliver a service meeting the individual needs of children and young people, their families and caregivers, with a focus on reducing and preventing reoffending.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and implement diversion from court programmes
- Manage young people through court processes and referral order panels
- Compile Pre‑Sentence Reports in line with National Standards
- Supervise Youth Rehabilitation Orders and through‑care licence arrangements
- Act as Case Manager for court orders
- Contribute to Bail Support Services
- Deliver restorative approaches that address victim needs alongside rehabilitation
- Liaise with multi‑agency partners and community stakeholders
- Contribute to the Youth Justice Plan and performance measures
- Participate in quality assurance processes
- Commit to anti‑oppressive practice and awareness of current youth justice legislation

- Experience in youth justice or youth offending work
- Availability to start in late June
