Birmingham Children’s Trust is seeking a Youth Justice Worker to join their Youth Justice Service based in Aston, Birmingham (B6 4DU). This is a temporary role paying £18.78–£24.34 per hour via Prism, starting 29 June 2026. You will deliver a service meeting the individual needs of children and young people, their families and caregivers, with a focus on reducing and preventing reoffending.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan and implement diversion from court programmes
  • Manage young people through court processes and referral order panels
  • Compile Pre‑Sentence Reports in line with National Standards
  • Supervise Youth Rehabilitation Orders and through‑care licence arrangements
  • Act as Case Manager for court orders
  • Contribute to Bail Support Services
  • Deliver restorative approaches that address victim needs alongside rehabilitation
  • Liaise with multi‑agency partners and community stakeholders
  • Contribute to the Youth Justice Plan and performance measures
  • Participate in quality assurance processes
  • Commit to anti‑oppressive practice and awareness of current youth justice legislation

Qualifications

  • Experience in youth justice or youth offending work
  • Availability to start in late June
