Birmingham Children’s Trust is seeking an experienced Family Support Worker to join their Family Help service, based in Aston, Birmingham (B6 4DU). This is a temporary role paying £15.84–£20.46 per hour via Prism, starting 15 June 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the key professional for children and families receiving Targeted Early Help and Child in Need support.
  • Lead needs‑led Family Assessments and develop multi‑agency Family Help plans.
  • Deliver evidence‑based interventions and facilitate review meetings across a diverse caseload.
  • Complete assessments and reports, building trusted relationships with children and families.
  • Contribute to strategy meetings and Child Protection Conferences, ensuring timely escalation when risk increases.
  • Work closely with Practice Supervisors and Team Managers, developing strong partnerships with partner agencies.
  • Maintain accurate case records in line with relevant legislation, policies, and safeguarding guidance.
