Semester is recruiting a Project Support Officer for Wirral Metropolitan Borough Council’s Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) service, based at 2 Alice Square, Birkenhead, CH41 2YA. The role pays £15.23–£19.48 per hour and is available from 28 September 2026.
This post supports the council in meeting its statutory duties under Part 3 of the Children & Families Act 2014. You will play a key role in the development of high-quality, timely Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), providing efficient administrative support across the SEND service.
Key responsibilities include collation of information, managing communications, and carrying out auditing procedures in line with corporate policies — all in support of the delivery of statutory SEND requirements.
The ideal candidate will have strong administrative and organisational skills, experience of working within a local authority or education/SEND environment, and a good understanding of EHCP processes and statutory timescales.
