The London Borough of Lambeth is seeking an Interim Assistant Director for Education Strategy, Access and Inclusion within the Education and Learning Directorate, based at 6 Brixton Hill, London SW2 1RW.
Rate: £650 Ltd per day. Start: ASAP.
Reporting to the Director of Education and Learning, this SMG2-grade post holds strategic leadership responsibility for education provision quality and sufficiency across the borough. The postholder will oversee:
- Pupil place planning
- School admissions
- The SEND and Inclusion Service
- Educational Psychology Service
- Virtual School
- Outreach Services
- Services for vulnerable pupils
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing strategic and operational leadership across inclusion and outreach
- Ensuring traded Educational Psychology and non-statutory outreach services are maintained
- Leading Ofsted and CQC inspection preparation and action planning
- Managing delegated budgets and reporting financial risks to the Director
- Developing and sustaining multi-agency partnerships with schools, health, voluntary organisations, and other councils
- Driving continuous improvement in educational outcomes for children with SEND and their families
- Presenting professional advice and committee reports to elected Members
