Job Summary
Lincolnshire County Council is seeking an Adults Qualified Practitioner to join its busy Safeguarding Team based in Sleaford, North Kesteven (NG34 7EN). This is a critical statutory role offering £29.89‑£40.52 per hour via Prism, starting 15 June 2026.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate Section 42 safeguarding enquiries under the Care Act 2014, triage concerns, determine whether the statutory duty has been met, and develop proportionate safeguarding plans.
- Screen and triage safeguarding referrals.
- Undertake and coordinate enquiries.
- Assess and manage risk.
- Promote strengths‑based, person‑centred practice.
- Maintain accurate, high‑quality records in line with statutory and local policy requirements.
- Champion Making Safeguarding Personal, keeping the individual’s voice and outcomes at the centre of every decision whilst working collaboratively across health, social care, and partner agencies.
Qualifications
- Holder of a recognised social work qualification and registered with Social Work England.
- Prior experience in adult safeguarding and strong knowledge of the Care Act 2014.
- Confidence in multi‑agency working.
- Ability to travel across Lincolnshire; full‑time office attendance expected in week one, with a minimum of two days per week in office thereafter.
