Your position
In your new position as HSE Senior Team Lead MCE, you will be a valuable member of our offshore HSEQ function supporting Main Component Exchange activities across the renewable energy sector. You will lead and support HSE Professionals working offshore on JUVs, while acting as a key HSEQ partner to the Director of MCE and wider project teams. You will have the chance to influence safe project execution from pre-project preparation through to offshore delivery, ensuring strong governance, quality documentation and effective knowledge sharing. Above all, your work will make a real difference in meeting the world’s growing energy demand.
We are not just looking for someone who is technically qualified and experienced; we are looking for someone who shares our view of safety. As part of the recruitment process, we will discuss how you see New View safety concepts, including Safety I and Safety II, HOP, and Safety Differently, working together to deliver safe outcomes. We will also explore how you believe the right information can be provided to the right people, whether that is controls for frontline workers, data for support teams, or due diligence information for leadership teams. In addition, we will discuss your perspective on the role of the HSE team in delivering these outcomes.
As HSE Senior Team Lead MCE, you will be responsible for supporting safe, compliant and efficient project delivery from pre-project kick-off preparation and sales support through to remote monitoring during offshore execution. Your tasks will include but are not limited to:
- Preparing project-specific documentation, including updating and creating templates as required.
- Supporting contract reviews to ensure all relevant HSEQ requirements are identified, captured and followed up.
- Creating and reviewing key HSE documentation such as RAMS, HSE Plans, emergency response drill plans and weather day training programmes.
- Monitoring offshore execution remotely, including Enhanced First Aid Clinical Governance compliance, WTG visit plans, investigation quality and action follow-up.
- Line managing 2-8 offshore HSE Professionals on JUVs and supporting offshore delivery as required for a minimum of four weeks per year.
We are looking for a proactive and experienced HSE professional who is passionate about offshore renewable energy and wants to leave their mark on safe project execution. You have a structured and collaborative approach to your work, take ownership of HSEQ standards, and are confident engaging with stakeholders across projects, operations and leadership.
To succeed in this position, we imagine that you have:
- Strong knowledge of HSE requirements within offshore, marine, construction or renewable energy environments.
- Experience creating or reviewing RAMS, HSE Plans, emergency response plans, investigation reports and other project HSEQ documentation.
- Previous experience leading, mentoring or line managing HSE professionals, preferably in an offshore or project-based setting.
- Ability to monitor compliance, identify trends, provide clear reporting and drive follow-up on actions and areas of concern.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the flexibility to be based in either the UK or Denmark and travel offshore when required.
