Purpose and Scope

This role is responsible to ensure Gas and Related Services, COE, and their subsidiaries meet and align with Sembcorp Group’s HSSE (Health, Safety, Security & Environment) policy and standards through implementation of HSSE management system, programs, audits, and provide advisory support.

Responsibilities

  • Promulgate Sembcorp Group’s HSSE policy and standards.
  • Implement and maintain HSSE Management System, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Develop HSSE manual/plan and execute HSSE program and trainings.
  • Advise Management on all HSSE related matters.
  • Conduct HSSE compliance checks and audit programs at subsidiaries and GRS’ project/property sites (located in Singapore, Bangladesh, Oman & UAE).
  • Provide coaching and guidance to the operation teams and HSSE representatives on the implementation of HSSE initiatives.
  • Review procedures and standards of subsidiaries and align with Sembcorp Group’s standards.
  • Stay updated on the relevant HSSE laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Collate and analyse HSSE performance and trends and provide regular reporting.
  • Support investigation of incidents/accidents within business units.
  • Ensure alignment to Sembcorp Group’s Business Continuity Management Policy and Crisis Management framework.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Degree in Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent.
  • Registered WSH Officer with MOM.
  • Possess experience in maintaining HSSE manuals & developing SOPs.
  • Possess experience in carrying out HSSE audits.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in construction and gas related projects.
  • Regional HSSE experiences will be preferred.
  • Possess good organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Creative and dynamic thinker in identifying innovative approaches to solve problems.
