Purpose of Role
To process, manage and supply wood fuel in line with the operational demands of the Wilton 10 boiler, ensuring safe, compliant and efficient operation of fuel handling plant, mobile equipment and associated systems
Key Roles And Responsibilities
- Safely operate fuel handling plant, mobile plant and associated equipment to maintain reliable fuel supply to Wilton 10.
- Manage fuel deliveries, collections, weighbridge activity, stock control and associated administration.
- Process, sample and monitor wood fuel to support operational requirements and fuel quality standards.
- Carry out routine checks, inspections, first‑line maintenance and defect reporting.
- Support safe maintenance activities, including plant isolation, preparation and recommissioning.
Maintain high standards of housekeeping, waste management, compliance, shift logging and handover
Contribute to safe, efficient operations by identifying issues, supporting improvement activity and assisting the wider Operations team
Qualification, Skills And Experience
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent trade‑specific qualification.
- IOSH Working Safely or equivalent safety awareness training
Relevant mobile plant, site induction and operational training appropriate to the Fuel Handling area.
