Position overview:

To develop, coordinate, and optimise detailed job plans for Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) work during turnarounds. The E&I Planner ensures that all E&I maintenance and project tasks are planned accurately, resourced appropriately, and fully integrated into the overall turnaround schedule to support safe, timely, and cost-effective execution.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Positively encourage a culture of safety first.
  • Apply the EHS principles in the framework of the maintenance program.
  • Clarify the requests received on the work orders.
  • Conduct the necessary inspections and investigations to determine the scope of each work order.
  • Estimate the labour and material resources required for each work order.
  • Elaborate the work plans (operational requirements, PTW etc.).
  • Organise the procurement of required materials and/or services for the work planned.
  • Receive the materials ordered and inspect for compliance.
  • Identify, locate, and reserve materials held on inventory for the work planned.
  • Seek opportunities to affect cost savings.
  • Manage the status of the work orders.
  • Analyse the workload with the other members of the departmental team.
  • Elaborate and circulate detailed instructions for the performance of the work.
  • Follow-up on the work on-site (observation).
  • Perform a post-mortem review of the work performed.
  • Adjust and update the scope of work if necessary.
  • Maintain accuracy of CMMS data for the assigned equipment.
  • Develop and maintain CMMS maintenance plans and BOM’s for the assigned equipment.
  • Provide all necessary instructions, tooling, and parts for the maintenance tasks to be carried out by the maintainers.
  • Maintain relevant turnaround performance measures in line with team and business requirements.
  • Implement and maintain the planning guidelines.
  • Contribute to weekly schedule review meetings.
  • Produce weekly performance metrics.
