The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.

You will be responsible for the examination, preparation and presentation of PCV vehicles including a modern fleet that are due for MOT and DVSA inspections as well as monthly inspections to ensure compliance to DVSA standards.

Responsibilities/Role Requirements

  • Completing vehicle inspections and safety checks.
  • Preparing vehicles for MOT testing.
  • Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs.
  • Maintaining accurate maintenance and inspection records.
  • Ensuring all work is completed in line with DVSA, National Express and company compliance standards.
  • Supporting fleet uptime and minimising vehicle downtime.
  • Assisting with roadside breakdown callouts where required.
  • Maintaining a safe, clean and organised workshop environment.
  • Keeping full detailed documents to ensure proof of compliance.
  • Ideally, you will hold a relevant professional qualification (NVQ3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance) although consideration will be given to applicants who hold the relevant skills and qualities via experience.
  • Excellent awareness of health and safety.
  • Experience of working in the industry and familiar with DVSA and MOT requirements.
  • PCV or HGV licence would be desirable but not essential.
