Based: Runcorn, Cheshire

Hours: Guaranteed 40 hours per week - permanent position

Weekday Rate: £15.13 ph. Night rate: £16.63 ph. Weekend rate: £16.38 ph. Night rate: £17.88 ph.

The above rates are seasonal until 28th September 2025.

The role: You will play a key role in transporting passengers safely and efficiently on private hire journeys, including but not limited to events, corporate transfers, school trips, airport transfers, and tours covering all areas of the UK. The role requires a high level of customer service, professionalism, and adherence to road safety and compliance regulations to ensure our customers receive a high-quality service. The role of a private hire driver at Selwyns also requires flexibility with working patterns and rotas as our private hire journeys are offered to customers spanning 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. For the right candidate, we offer very competitive pay rates coupled with guaranteed weekly hours all year round.

You must meet the following essential criteria:

  • A full, UK PCV (Category D) Licence
  • At least 12 month's driving experience.
  • A valid Digital Tachograph card (not essential at application stage, but must have one prior to start on duty)
  • A Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
  • A maximum of 6 penalty points
  • No unspent criminal convictions
