About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity to join the Selwood Pump Solutions Installations team as a Setting Out & Surveying Engineer, based out of our Head Office in Chandlers Ford.
This role will provide detailed surveying and setting out of complex pumping applications to support the pump hire solutions business unit.
You will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and efficient surveying and setting out activities on our project sites. You’ll work closely with our projects and management teams, as well as engineers on site to map the live area, record all data, and send this back to the office to create an accurate map of the environment/site. You’ll be setting out and surveying various sites including high streets, parks, and treatment works.
This is an ideal opportunity to add practical experience to your technical knowledge, with scope for future development of the role and a career pathway with Selwood.
What we are looking for:
- Previous surveying experience, ideally in an engineering or construction environment.
- Experience using GPS and Total Station survey equipment (Robotic EDM).
- Knowledge of drone surveying and laser scanning would be beneficial.
- Experience of setting out on site.
- Experience in site surveying.
- A good understanding of project management and timeline controls.
- Strong ability to upload, organise, and maintain surveying information.
- A professional qualification in pump hire, utilities, or a water-related industry would be advantageous but not essential.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly within the UK (annual travel around 10,000 miles).
