It’s an exciting time to join us in our Installations Team. Based out of our London (Dartford) branch, this role will predominantly be based on customer sites with occasional visits to the branch and other locations across the UK. As an Installation Supervisor, you will need to lead by example, overseeing all direct and indirect workers on site, including third parties employed by Selwood. A positive attitude, flexibility, and integrity are essential. While on site, you will ensure RAMS are briefed and followed by your team, and that equipment is fit for purpose before installation. Health & Safety is our top priority, and you must adhere to safety protocols at all times. You will work on construction sites with potential risks, managing your safety and the safety of others. You should be confident to stop unsafe acts immediately. Flexibility is required as you will participate in a call-out rota and work overtime outside your usual 40 hours, earning increased overtime rates. This role is subject to a safety-critical medical.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Promote and embody the company’s mission and core values across the UK network.
- Supervise all aspects of solution/sales projects from start to finish in collaboration with the solutions/sales team.
- Coordinate with the Installation Manager, providing updates on progress and issues.
- Conduct on-site RAMS processes, identify risks, implement control measures, and communicate installation methodology to staff and clients.
- Install pipework and supervise daily activities of operatives and subcontractors on site.
- Assist drivers with loading and unloading; physical fitness is necessary to perform daily tasks and ensure safety standards.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
- Ability to work safely on construction sites with a good understanding of safety protocols.
- Flexible, positive, and adaptable to challenging situations.
- Valid UK driving license with less than 6 points.
Preferred:
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Site Supervision.
- SSSTS, IOSH Managing Safety, Forklift license, CSCS gold card, Water Hygiene Card (all advantageous).
- Experience in hire or water industry is a plus but not essential.
