About The Role
To support our expansion, we are seeking an Installation Operative to join our growing team. Ideal candidates will have experience in civil engineering, the construction industry, or a military background, and are seeking a career with excellent progression opportunities.
You will be based at our Birmingham (Wolverhampton) branch, primarily working on customer sites across construction, wastewater, and clean water sectors, with occasional visits to the branch.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Promote and embody the company’s mission and core values to deliver high-quality installation services across the UK.
- Install pipework, assist drivers with vehicle loading/unloading, and check paperwork, missing items, damages, and fuel charges.
- Maintain good physical fitness, as the role is physically demanding.
- Identify and suggest creative solutions to improve business efficiency and attractiveness.
- Prioritize safety at all times, confidently stopping work if safety issues arise and informing your supervisor.
Qualifications & Personal Attributes
This role requires a safety-critical medical assessment.
- Ability to work on diverse client sites, including construction, wastewater, and clean water projects.
- Flexible working hours and availability for an ‘on call’ rota (likely 1 in 4 weekends).
- Willingness to travel nationwide and work away from home when necessary.
- Full UK driving license (no more than 6 points).
Preferred Qualifications
- Construction Skills CSCS card.
- National Water Hygiene Card.
- Confined space training.
- Forklift truck operator certification.
- Understanding of temporary/permanent pumping solutions.
The role involves working at heights, in confined spaces, lone working, and with sewage.
